Stylish duo, Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, have spent the past 10 years surprising the fashionably challenged with $5k for a new wardrobe, a new hair do, lessons on makeup, and a new outlook on what works for their body shape, but after this upcoming season comes to a close the two will put their spare credit cards and secret footage tapes away for good.
“What Not to Wear” is TLC’s longest running TV show, which is a high bar for Honey Boo Boo to reach, and it’s sad for people like me, who love to catch the show whenever it’s on. I will also miss Clinton’s trendy sweaters and watching Stacy’s grey strip get thicker and thinner between episodes.
This show changed me and the trajectory of my life. I’ve learned so much from all of our contributors over the years. I hope we touched them as much as they touched me. … I certainly see our rules in practice every day. It feels like the end of an era and I look forward to my next chapter.
Clinton also said,
At first I thought the essence of the show was making snarky remarks about people’s outfits, but as it turns out, ‘WNTW’ is about taking stock of who you are and communicating that non-verbally to the rest of the world. That’s incredibly empowering.
I’m glad that Stacy and Clinton are able to be so focused on all the help they’ve given people, but I’m distraught about the fact that I’m running out of time to carry out my master plan to pretend that I wear the most terrible clothes to get on the show and get a full, professional makeover!
