Well, if you’re a person who does not do well with second hand embarrassment (believe it or not, I’m one of those – it’s the reason I really can’t tune into reality talent television like The X Factor, etc..), please do not watch the below trailer for writer Bret Easton Ellis film, The Canyons. You know, that film starring current porn star, James Peen (it’s a typo and it stays) and future porn star, Lindsay Lohan.
If you don’t have a problem with watching people humiliate themselves, or your a masochist and do but want to self-inflict harm on your retinas, by all means, press play and check out the full 1:39 of terrible overacting, poor writing and film making techniques I surpassed in my sixth grade A/V class.
The description on YouTube describes The Canyons like this:
It’s not The Hills… THE CANYONS is a contemporary L.A. noir from director Paul Schrader, writer Bret Easton Ellis, and producer Braxton Pope about the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition, both personally and professionally, among a group of young people in their 20′s and how one chance meeting connected to the past unravels all of their lives, resulting in deceit, paranoia, cruel mind games and ultimately violence.
My description is a lot more brief: “It looks like utter horse shit.”
