Producer/Director Tony Scott Commits Suicide

This is just so sad.   Famed movie director Tony Scott jumped to his death off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles Harbor on Sunday.  He was 68 years old.

According to officials, Scott, whose brother is movie maker Ridley Scott,  climbed up to the apex of the bridge – which stands 185 feet above the water’s surface –  and jumped “without hesitation.”  Scott left a suicide note in the car.

Scott had recently been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer.  He leaves behind his wife, Donna, and their twin sons.

Tony Scott’s films include such hits as True RomanceTop Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, Man on Fire, The A-Team, and Crimson Tide. 

RIP, Tony.
