Jennifer Lawrence is getting that money for the next installment of The Hunger Games. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting JLaw is getting a nice bump in pay from the $500k (plus bonuses check) for the first movie.
For Catching Fire, Jennifer is going to receive an impressive $10 million dollars. THR says, “The figure is a combination of salary, bonuses and escalators. Depending on the box-office performance of the film, she could earn much more. ”
The Hunger Games took in a whopping $683 million dollars at the worldwide box office earlier this year, so her negotiating for a bigger check isn’t surprising at all. Co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are also said to have seen a pay increase for the second film, however, they pale in comparison to JLaw’s, as her character is the main star.
In total, there are four movies scheduled to be made. The final installment, Mockingjay, will be released in two parts.
