There’s really not many things I can add to this, as the only way I can properly give the review below the reverence it deserves is by giving it standing ovation combined with a slow clap.
Music journalist Chloe Papas gave a biting, forthright review of Chris Brown’s album “Fortune” for the Australian street magazine X-Press. From what I understand, this is an older article, however in the past couple of days it has resurfaced on some popular websites.
One of the several critiques she has with both the album (skitzy) and the man himself can be summed up nicely with this quote:
Let’s just get down to it. Regardless of whether Chris Brown has any musical talent (he doesn’t) or whether this album is any good (it isn’t), the man recently brutally assaulted a woman, and is still regularly invited back to award shows and worshipped by ‘Breezy’ fans worldwide. Which is, frankly, disgusting. And for those of you out there saying you need to separate the music from the man; screw you, don’t encourage his actions.
Final words: don’t buy this album.
And to be honest, this is so brilliant that I feel the need to share the love. Anybody who calls out Chris Brown for being a complete twatwaffle is okay in my book.
