“The Hangover III” Already In The Works

“The Hangover II” was only released on DVD in December, but Director, Todd Phillips, is going to spend time basking in the glory of the $250 million that it’s made so far because he’s already shoulder deep in part III.

In fact, “The Hangover III” already has its own IMDB page because that bitch is in development! Bradley Cooper  unveiled on the Graham Norton Show that Todd Phillips is actively working on the script that and that he expects to start filming this September for a 2013 release date.

Cooper also revealed during the interview that he’s heard that part III will not be like the first two installments. He explained,

We adhered to the formula in the second one, for those of you who’ve seen it, and the third one, which would close the whole sort of trilogy, which now it would be a trilogy — even though we thought we would never make a second one, let alone anybody see the first one — I think it will take place in Los Angeles and maybe not adhere to the structure. It might be different.

Truthfully, I’m kind of happy that they are going to depart from the traditional go on a bachelor party, get drugged, wake up dazed and confused to realize people are missing fingers or missing all together, etc.

Zach Galifianakis told Rolling Stone last summer that he thought (or was probably really, really hoping) that part III would revolve around his character, Alan. I’m totally on board for a part III around Alan.

Oh yeah, and there’s reports that the actors are going to be paid roughly $15 million each for part 3. I suppose the movie can afford paying those salaries considering part 1 and 2 made nearly $700 million combined.
